FC Barcelona announced this Saturday the “principle of agreement” with Bayern Munich for the transfer of Robert Lewandowski to the Barça team, “pending the player passing the medical review and signing the contracts.”
“FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Robert Lewandowski, pending the player passing the medical review and signing the contracts,” the Catalan team said in a statement, without mentioning economic terms although it is speculated with 50 million euros.
The Polish player, who turns 34 in August, had started the preseason with Bayern this week but the interest of Barça and the player himself in joining their paths was notorious. From Munich, hours earlier this Saturday, the president of Bayern, Oliver Kahn, advanced the signing through a verbal agreement.
In the same way, Barça confirms that the transfer is still pending the signature and that medical examination, but in Barcelona they are already celebrating the arrival of the Golden Boot for the last two years. Lewandowski leaves Bayern after eight years in which he has won everything, especially in a great 2020. The Polish striker won ‘The Best’ award in 2020 and 2021.
