FBI removed about 12 boxes from Trump’s Florida mansion

FBI agents removed about a dozen boxes from a storage area during Monday’s raid of former US President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.

This has been confirmed by former president Christina Bobb’s lawyer, who has detailed that federal agents were investigating possible violations of the laws related to the mishandling of classified material, ‘The Washington Post’ has reported.

Bobb has claimed that the FBI left him a copy of the court order showing that they had court authorization to enter Trump’s home.

Last Monday, FBI agents entered the former president’s mansion at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida to investigate possible mishandling of classified documents.

A person familiar with the investigation consulted by the aforementioned newspaper has assured that the agents were carrying out a search authorized by a court in relation to the open case against the former president for taking classified documents to his residence after leaving the White House.

In January, the National Archives and Records Administration recovered after two months 15 boxes of documents and other items from the Mar-a-Lago residence that agency officials said should have been delivered when Trump left the White House.

The raid marks the first time in US history that a former president’s home has been searched as part of a criminal investigation.
