The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, will begin a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates this Saturday to discuss bilateral relations with the Emirati authorities within the framework of the Sir Bani Yas Forum.
The visit, which will end on Sunday, “will offer an opportunity to further revitalize the EU-UAE bilateral relationship” and also “to exchange with political and opinion makers on regional issues and global issues.”
During his visit, Borrell will hold several bilateral meetings, starting this Saturday with his meeting with the Emirati Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nayan.
Borrell will also hold a meeting with the Emirates’ presidential adviser, Anwar Gargash, as well as “meetings with other high-level participants in the Forum,” the European Union’s External Action Service reported in a statement.
