The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, presented this Friday before the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian Parliament, two bills with which to extend martial law for another 90 days, as well as the mobilization of the population while the war continues with Russia.

Projects 7664 and 7665 provide for a 90-day extension of both martial law and the legislation that allows the government to mobilize its population to be recruited from August 23, reports the Ukrinform agency.

Under martial law, among other things, the government of President Zelensky has prohibited the political activity of fifteen parties, considering that they were pro-Russian and defended the invasion of Ukraine that began on February 24 by order of President Vladimir Putin.

With the mobilization law, Ukraine has banned all men between the ages of 18 and 60 who are eligible to be recruited and go to the front from leaving the country. The Ministry of Defense has announced that they will not even be able to leave the region in which they have their habitual residence without informing the Armed Forces.
