Ukraine will “triumph” over the Russian forces, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky assured, a day before the first anniversary of Moscow’s invasion of his country that led to the war.
“We have not collapsed, we have recovered from many tests and we will triumph. We will hold accountable those who brought this evil, this war, to our land,” Zelensky threatened in a message posted on social media.
Zelensky added that Russia had chosen “the path of the murderer, the path of the terrorist, the path of the torturer, the path of the plunderer” in unleashing this war.
And he added that this “State election” implied a “State responsibility for the terror committed,” the AFP news agency reported.
“Russia will be forced out soon, otherwise it will quickly lead to the collapse of the regime. They have no other solution.”Kirilo Budanov, Head of Military Intelligence
The Russians “did not want to stop and chose the path of violence,” said the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence services, Kirilo Budanov.in tune with the message of Zelenski, a former comedian and audiovisual producer who came to the Government of the country in 2019.
Budanov further indicated that there is increasing pressure at the internal and diplomatic level on Moscow. “This is a problem for them,” he said.
“Difficult times are coming for Russia. This will call into question the architecture of the region, which runs from Eastern Europe to the Asian part of Russia. This could promote a change in the configuration of the country itself,” he warned.

In this sense, he indicated that “it is not an issue that can take decades” but that it could occur “quickly.”
Likewise, Budanov affirmed that Russia “will soon be forced” to withdraw its troops from Ukraine in the face of increasing pressure both domestically and internationally.

“Russia will be forced out soon, otherwise it will quickly lead to the collapse of the regime.. They have no other solution. The Russians have the opportunity to calmly get out of this situation that they themselves have created,” he added, according to a government statement reproduced by the Europa Press news agency.
Russia annexed four Ukrainian provinces whose territory it partially controls: Donetsk and Lugansk in the east and Kherson and Zaporizhia in the south.
Friday will mark one year since Russian troops entered Donbass, the pro-Russian region in eastern Ukraine, whose population has been repressed by the Kiev regime since 2014, according to Russian complaints and data collected by the UN.
After an escalation of tensions at the end of 2021 and January 2022 between Russia and NATO on the so-called red line in Russian territory, bordering Ukraine, Moscow sent troops to the separatist region.
Last October, Russia annexed four Ukrainian provinces whose territory it partly controls: Donetsk and Luhansk in the east and Kherson and Zaporizhia in the south.
Neither Ukraine nor the international community recognized the annexation. After a series of military setbacks, the Russian army is attempting to return to the offensive in the Donbass.
