WhatsApp is implementing a button in the app’s camera that distinguishes between taking a video or a photo, an option that Android beta testers can already access.
Currently, whatsapp camera It allows you to send both types of files and, once this option is opened, it warns in the lower part of the interface that you must press and hold your finger on it to make a video or press to take a photo.
In order to facilitate the user experience, Meta, owner of the platform, has introduced two tabs under the capture buttonwhich differentiate between Video (on the left) and Photo (on the right).
This has been verified by WABetaInfo in the latest update of the application for Android 2.22.24.21, which has been deployed through the Google Play beta program, which has shared a screenshot of the result, in which the callsign appears and adds these two buttons.
With this new option, users will not have to press and hold their finger on the screen to record, but rather directly choose the tab that indicates it and place your finger only once on the grabber to start recording.
At the moment, this feature is only available for beta testers of Android devices, although Its implementation is expected for the rest of the users in the coming days.
