MADRID, Aug. 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Madrid qualified for the second round of the Qualifying Phase of the Women’s Champions League after beating Manchester City at the Alfredo Di Stefano, thanks to Caroline Weir’s 0-1 win.

The Scottish midfielder left the English team this summer after four seasons and became their executioner this Sunday, with great control and a shot in the area that gave White the pass, who will meet their next opponent in the draw on day 1 .

The initiative came from Madrid, with two good chances in the first few minutes from Feller and Roebuck, until the goal came after 15 minutes. The Scot made it 0-2 with a ball off the crossbar.

In the second half, City improved and came close to equalizing, which Misa avoided with a good save in the 50th minute. Madrid’s response was again from Weir and in the final stretch there were alternatives for both teams, with no changes in the marker.
