Germany approves delivery of 178 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine. The German government has authorized its defense companies on Tuesday to transfer 178 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine. This shipment adds to the decision taken on the 25th of sending 14 Leopard 2 to kyiv, the most modern in the series and currently in service. The Leopard 1, which was discontinued in 1984 to be replaced by the Leopard 2, is no longer part of the Bundeswehr’s operational arsenal.
