Ticketera confirms that it was the victim of a new cyberattack

ticket counter, company dedicated to the sale of tickets for events and shows in Puerto Rico, confirmed on Saturday afternoon that it was the victim of a new cyberattack, but assured that they keep the situation “under control without major consequences.”

“At around 11:00 in the morning, our technical team became aware of the beginning of an attack with “bots” that until now everything tends to indicate that the intention was to monopolize the tickets for sale, but the measures we have taken the offline platform (offline) to prevent them from achieving their mission, ”said Danny Hernandez, official spokesman for the ticket company, in a statement.

According to Hernandez, they managed to restore service to the platform shortly after 1:00 pm and the platform is working at full capacity.

“Like the previous occasion, our controls managed to be effective. The events that are running these days have ticket offices both in Caguas and in the Mall of San Juan. For now, our clients can rest assured that their information has not been compromised. Any eventuality we will let you know through these means, ”he indicated.

“Ticketera’s commitment to our clients goes beyond an excellent service but also the security of their data at all times,” added Hernandez.

The situation occurred at a time when Bad Bunny fans are trying to get tickets for tonight’s performance of his concert “A summer without you”.

This is not the first time that Ticketera has faced a situation like this. On June 24, the platform suffered a cyber attack that caused stopping ticket purchases for their engagements at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan. At that time, Omar Baez, founding partner of Ticketera, assured that the attack did not affect the sale of tickets for other events in other locations nor did it compromise consumer information.
