They choose the 3 finalists in Miss Universe Puerto Rico

The big night has arrived to choose the new sovereign, who will carry the title of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022. At 8:00 pm the Antonio Paoli Hall of the Santurce Fine Arts Centerwhere the 28 candidates paraded, in a live transmission through Wapa Televisionwith driving Stephanie Sotowinner of the contest in 2020 together with the NotiCentro reporter, Julio Rivera Saniel.

The three finalists, who will go on to the next round of questions from the jury, are: Miss Catano, Camille Fabery Diana; Miss Fajardo, Ashley Ann Cariño Barreto; and Miss Dorado, Leonela Gonzalez De Jesus.

The same question was asked of the three finalists: “Much is said about empowerment, but how and why is a woman empowered?”

“Women are empowered to be better people every day. To be able, with our knowledge and our love for people, to continue forward and that each one can shine with their own light, because we are all beautiful and we all have the power to shine before the universe”, Miss Cataño responded.

Miss Fajardo replied: “A woman is empowered by believing in her and telling her that you are there for her. Empowerment is believing in yourself and in what you want to achieve, because at the end of the day you are unique, there is no one like you, there is no one who has your story, and that is important. Walk firm in what you are because you are going to destroy the universe.

Finally, Miss Dorado said: “A woman is empowered so that she can achieve all her goals through discipline and determination. That is precisely why I founded my foundation ‘Puente de Esperanza’, which focuses on providing women who are also victims of domestic violence and immigrants so that they can know their rights. That is precisely why empowerment is important.”
