The UN allocates 23 million dollars for humanitarian aid to Turkey

In the city of Antioquia, three other people were also rescued on Thursday night.

The devastating 7.8 magnitude quake struck early Monday morning when people were asleep.

Antioquia was one of the most affected cities.

In Syria, the search continues as hopes of finding survivors fade.

The UN has endowed 23 million euros to launch the response in a country torn by war.

The first aid convoy arrived on Thursday in several areas of northwestern Syria controlled by rebels to the Damascus government. Thousands of families spend freezing nights in cars and makeshift tents.

The UN Secretary General, Anthony Guterres ensures that you need more means:“Just a few hours ago, the first United Nations convoy crossed into northern Syria at the Bab al-Hawa border crossing. It included six trucks carrying desperately needed shelter and other relief supplies. More help is on the way, but much, much more is needed.”

Meanwhile, 80 tons of humanitarian aid have left Greece for the southern Turkish city of Adana.

The World Health Organization is sending first aid kits and medical equipment to Turkey and Syria.
