The Tax Agency announces 900 positions for Administration and Information Assistants for Income

MADRID, Sep. 4 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Presidency of the State Tax Administration Agency has convened a selection process, through the general system of free access, for discontinuous permanent staff in the professional category of ‘Administration and Information Assistant’ for the Income Campaign.

This follows from the resolution published this week in the Official State Gazette (BOE), where it is indicated that the deadline for submitting applications will be twenty business days from the day following the date of publication of the call in the BOE (September 1, 2022).

The largest number of vacancies has been announced for the province of Barcelona (100), followed by Madrid (98), Seville (60), Valencia (50), Valladolid (38), Toledo (36) and Asturias (34).

The functions of this position include providing telephone and/or face-to-face information on the Personal Income Tax (IRPF) and on the use of instruments of the Tax Agency to help the taxpayer in the Income Campaign.

Those who wish to participate in the selective process must electronically complete the application for admission to selective tests, make the payment of the corresponding exam fees and submit that application, in the manner established in the bases of the call.

The official application form for admission to selective tests convened by the State Agency for Tax Administration and liquidation of the fee for examination fees (form 791), is available to interested parties on the website of the Tax Agency.

The call is made in compliance with the provisions of Royal Decree 407/2022, of May 24, which approves the 2022 Public Employment Offer and in order to meet the personnel needs of the State Administration Agency Tax.

It should be remembered that, in total, the Government approved the Public Employment Offer (OPE) for 2022, which includes 1,836 places to reinforce the staff of the Tax Agency, which represents an increase of 30%, with the aim of giving impetus to the fight against fraud.

This apart from what is established in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, where an increase in the number of the Tax Agency is stipulated in order to reach dimensions closer to those that have been customary throughout its history, in the which has almost always had more than 27,000 employees, reaching a maximum of around 28,000.

The staff of the Tax Agency has been reduced compared to that available before the economic crisis of 2008. This situation has occurred as a result of the combination of two factors: on the one hand, the high average age of the staff, with the consequent retirement scenario in the coming years, and, on the other, the difficulties for the incorporation of new troops after successive years with reduced public job offers.

For this reason, the priority objective of the Tax Agency, as provided for in its 2020-2023 strategic plan, is the progressive recovery of the number of employees it had before the impact of the economic crisis, taking on the commitment to ” reinforce and rejuvenate” the workforce to face new challenges.
