The Argentine Police will reinforce the surveillance of the judges and prosecutors who participate in the open process for alleged fraud against the Vice President of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez, after threats and calls to follow the officials have been published on social networks.
The measure has been requested by the president of the Supreme Court, Horacio Rosatti, who alludes to the “greatest media exposure”, according to the newspaper ‘La Nacion’. The case has generated division in Argentina, since for Fernandez everything is part of a political and judicial “persecution” against her.
The Prosecutor’s Office has requested that the vice president be sentenced to twelve years in prison and barred for life from holding public office for an alleged corrupt plot in Santa Cruz.
After this request, made on Monday, there have been mobilizations in support of the former president, also on Tuesday, when Fernandez addressed the citizens from his office in the Senate.
