It’s been a long time since we’ve had any news about the next installment of the Outlast horror franchise. However, next Tuesday things will change.
Indeed, a tweet from famed presenter Geoff Keighley revealed that studio Red Barrels had a little surprise for us: a new look at their upcoming horror game, The Outlast Trials.
More the merrier, the merrier
This never-before-seen trailer will be presented during the opening night of Gamescom 2022. Judging by the image on the tweet, one of the game’s antagonists may be the focus of this new trailer. Moreover, as so often in the Outlast series, we are probably dealing with an abominable enemy reserving the worst punishment for us (who said Leatherface?).
It is also possible that the multiplayer aspect of the experience is brought to the fore. For good reason, it is one of the new elements of the license. The app is designed to be done cooperatively. Thereby, we may find out a bit more about how mutual aid between the two players will work.
But the most awaited information at the turn is probably the release date which, at present, still remains unknown. Some continue to hope for an arrival in 2022, others can already see themselves waiting for 2023. These questions will surely find their answers next Tuesday.
