    Some Starbucks vanilla drinks that may contain glass are recalled

    (CNN) — Distributor PepsiCo is recalling more than 300,000 bottles of Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino because they might have glass inside, the company said. US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) this week.

    The drinks are 12-ounce Vanilla Frappuccinos with UPC number 0 12000-81331 3. Expiration dates are March 8, May 29, and June 4 and 10, according to lto FDA

    This is a Class II recall, which the FDA defines as: “A situation in which use of or exposure to an infringing product may cause adverse health consequences on a temporary basis, when the effects are medically reversible and the likelihood of serious adverse health consequences is remote.

    The FDA says the recall of the product began on January 28 and is still ongoing.

    The products are being withdrawn from the market, said a statement provided to CNN by PepsiCo on behalf of the North American Coffee Partnership, its joint organization with Starbucks.

    “The North American Coffee Association is committed to a high level of quality in the products we serve. Providing a quality experience to our consumers is our top priority and we always act with an abundance of caution when a potential concern arises,” the statement continued. “If a consumer has purchased this product and has questions or concerns, they may call Consumer Relations at 1-800-211-8307.”
