The President of the Government, the socialist Pedro Sanchez, has asked to appear in plenary session of the Senate to present the Government’s energy saving plan that was debated last week in Congress in the validation of the decree law.
With this monographic appearance, the Government responds to the offer of the president of the PP, Alberto Nunez, to debate in the Senate on the energy crisis, since the Galician politician is not a deputy, but a senator. Until now, the PSOE referred that debate to the control sessions of the Upper House.
The appearance has been announced by the Minister Spokesperson, Isabel Rodriguez, at the end of the Council of Ministers. The date of the debate will be decided by the Upper House, whose Table and Board of Spokespersons meet this Wednesday.
