    Samsung launches its first Chair in Spain together with the Polytechnic University of Valencia

    Samsung and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) have launched a Chair through the Samsung Innovation Campus training program that will offer 340 hours of training in artificial intelligence (AI).

    The Samsung Innovation Campus training program aims to promote learning in new technologies such as artificial intelligence and improve the employability of young people.

    In collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Valencia, it has developed a new initiative, a Chair that will allow 24 students to receive 340 hours of free training in artificial intelligence, As the company reports in a statement.

    This Chair includes a practical part in which students will be challenged to present social outreach projects where AI has a relevant role and where the best project will be awarded.

    “Artificial intelligence is going to have an important effect in all spheres of social and economic activity Therefore, students must learn to know it in depth both to help organizations improve their transformations and develop skills and knowledge that allow them to provide added value in this new context”, said the director of the Area of ​​Business and Employment Chairs of the UPV, Francisco Espinos, during the opening ceremony, held on September 8.

    The Chair, Samsung’s first in Spain, is part of the corporate program ‘Technology with a Purpose’ which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary and with which Samsung seeks to “improve people’s lives by breaking down barriers through technology in fields as such as education or employability”, as highlighted by the head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Samsung, Inma Mena.
