The Russian Ministry of Defense announced this Tuesday the destruction of a Ukrainian Army drone in the Moscow region and another in Kaluga, near the capital.

“On the morning of September 5, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack with an unmanned aerial vehicle against targets in Russia was thwarted (…) it was destroyed by air defense means over the territory of the Istra district of the Moscow region,” the ministry said on its official Telegram channel.

In addition, it has reported the destruction of another drone in the Kaluga region, near Moscow.

In recent days, Russian authorities have reported several drone attacks on different areas. Although they are mostly limited to regions close to the border, the radius of reach has expanded as demonstrated by the case of Pskov or the incidents recorded in the capital, Moscow.

For their part, Ukrainian authorities acknowledged last Friday for the first time that one of the latest drone attacks against targets in Russia was orchestrated from Russian and non-Ukrainian territory, specifically an operation launched this week against an air base in the region. from Pskov.
