Renfe will offer more than 600,000 seats in its commercial services (AVE, Alvia and Larga Distancia) between this Friday and next Monday, July 25, a holiday in the communities of Galicia, Madrid, the Basque Country and Navarra.

This offer represents a reinforcement of more than 83,000 places and is especially concentrated in coastal destinations, the corridors with the greatest demand, and consequently the greatest supply, being those that link Madrid with the Costa Brava, the Costa del Sol, Levante or those of the northern peninsula.

To this offer is added that of public service, the conventional Medium Distance trains that facilitate the mobility of both regular travelers and those citizens who, from an initial point of origin, use the train to make day trips to geographically close points.

In these regional services, the lines of the beach stand out, such as those that connect the Costa Brava and the Costa Daurada with Barcelona, or the Seville-Cadiz conventional Middle Distance relations. A reinforcement is also carried out in the trains that circulate through the Galician community, which on the 25th celebrates the festivity of Santiago and its National Day.

The company has highlighted in a statement the use of clean energy by its trains, being the first final consumer of electrical renewable energy in Spain.

Most of the services circulate with electric traction, contributing to sustainable mobility and the reduction of polluting gas emissions, since all the energy of Renfe’s electric trains has a 100% renewable origin guarantee certificate.

In addition, the company continues to maintain the cleaning and disinfection procedures of all its trains, which have been recognized with the Aenor and SGS certificates against Covid-19 for passenger transport.
