Prince William has revealed that he fears the wrath of his wife Kate Middleton

Prince William joked to the injured players minutes before the start of Saturday’s clash between the England and Wales rugby teams, saying that “my wife won’t talk to me” if his team lose the game.

The Prince and Princess of Wales visited the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday for Wales’s Six Nations rugby match against England. The two seem to be aspiring musicians as they support different teams. William has been a patron of the Welsh Rugby Union since 2016, while Princess Kate supports England as a patron of the Rugby Football League and Rugby Football Union.

The pair met injured players supported by the Welsh Rugby Foundation and joked about their support for different teams before the match. William admitted that he was worried about a “nervous” journey home if England lost because he feared “my wife wouldn’t talk to me”.

The future king told the wounded soldiers: “It is going to be a very nervous trip home. My wife won’t talk to me if we win today. It’s going to be a nervous night.” Kate smiled when she was asked about her support for England during the tournament: “Context is always secondary so I’m looking forward to it.”

However, after England’s victory in the match, William seemed relaxed as he shared some of the wonderful moments he and his wife had together during the tournament.
