The elected president of Colombia has revealed this Sunday, just a few hours before his inauguration, the names of those who will be his Ministers of Justice, Nestor Osuna, and of Housing, Catalina Velasco Campuzano.

“Nestor Osuna, Externado lawyer and former magistrate of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, will be the Minister of Justice. Judicial independence, the fight against corruption, and citizen access to the judicial system will be pillars of a justice reform” , Petro explained on his Twitter account.

She later published Velasco’s name, “a woman expert in habitat and planning.” “One of her responsibilities will be to lead a true public policy for social housing in Colombia,” she stressed.

With these names there are only five positions left to fill in the Petro Government: Commerce, Industry and Tourism; Information technology; Transportation; Science and Ministry of Peace, Security and Coexistence, the latter newly created.

The key members of the cabinet are already known, such as Alfonso Prada (Interior), Álvaro Leyva (Exterior), Ivan Velasquez (Defense) or Vice President Francia Marquez, who will also be Minister of Equality and Women.
