Paula Badosa returns to the ‘Top 3’ of the WTA ranking

The Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa has returned to third place in the WTA ranking, which continues to be led by the Polish Iga Swiatek and in which the also Spanish Garbine Muguruza remains in twelfth position.

The Catalan, despite her defeat against the Chinese Qinwen Zheng (6-3, 6-2) in her debut at the Tokyo tournament and losing 46 points, has risen to number three in the world (3,934) due to the fall Estonian Anett Kontaveit, who has lost 440 points.

Swiatek continues to lead the list with 10,180 units, well above Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur (5,090). Kontaveit (3,860) and the American Jessica Pegula (3,501) complete the ‘Top 5’.

In addition, Garbine Muguruza (2,875) remains in twelfth place in the ranking, while Sara Sorribes from Castellon drops three positions to number 67 and Nuria Parrizas, 15 to 76.
