The INAPAM credential, an official identification that offers discounts and benefits to older adults, is renewed for people over 60 who have not yet obtained it. The new design includes a change of image, with the cherry and gold that characterize the graphic identity of the current administration as the main colors. The card will also have a digital stamp to verify its authenticity, in addition to the CURP of the holder and the date of issue of the document.
How to obtain the new INAPAM card
All older adults 60 years of age or older can process the INAPAM credential. Simply go to one of the registration modules listed on the site, locate your module from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with original and copy of valid official identification, birth certificate, CURP, proof of address less than six months old and a recent child size photograph.
In the module, older adults must give two contact telephone numbers in case of an emergency. In the case of applicants who cannot take care of themselves, an adult can accompany them and complete the documentation during the process. According to the Secretary of Welfare, the card is printed and delivered the same day of the request. The modules will also process replacements in case of loss.
Benefits of the INAPAM credential
Older adults with an INAPAM credential obtain discounts on the property tax rate and the use of drinking water, as well as legal advice at public notaries. In Mexico City, trips on the metro, RTP and Metrobus are free upon presentation of the credential. In addition, INAPAM maintains agreements with a network of businesses that offer discounts on food, health, education, culture, clothing and household items to older adults.
The new INAPAM card does not replace the previously issued credentials, which will remain valid both to access the discounts and benefits it offers, and to officially identify oneself.
