Mossad chief David Barnea warned on Monday that a possible revival of the nuclear deal with Iran “will not give Tehran immunity” from the agency’s operations, before stressing that Israel “will not participate in this farce.”

Barnea, who has spoken at an event at the Reichman University in Herzliya – his first public speech since taking office in June 2021 -, has stressed that “even if the agreement is signed, it will not give immunity (to Iran) of Mossad operations.
“We will not participate in this farce. We will not close our eyes to a proven truth. The Iranian regime will not have immunity,” he explained, while emphasizing that “the Iranian leadership must understand that attacks against Israel or Israelis, whether direct or through ‘proxies’, it will receive a painful response against those responsible on Iranian soil.”
