More than 5,000 executives and 340 experts debate the future of sustainable mobility in Europe in Valencia

The Valencian Community will become a center of sustainable mobility between March 21 and 23, with the celebration of the eMobility Expo World Congressin which more than 5,000 executives and 340 experts from around the world will debate in a global meeting to define the future of mobility and the evolution towards decarbonization, as highlighted by the General Director of Government Action Coordination, Juan Angel Poyatos .

In this event, which will be inaugurated by the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, the Generalitat Valenciana will have the opportunity to “project to the world everything that has happened here in recent years”, and show “why we are a benchmark and a ideal space to invest in this type of mobility”, Poyatos pointed out.

The General Director stressed that the meeting will also allow the “major investments” made by the Generalitat to promote sustainable mobility, attract investment and promote projects that generate “quality employment” to be shown.

Companies such as Balearia, Ford, AirNostrum, Stadler, bp, Puerto de Valencia, Zeleros, Power Electronics, Renfe, AVIA, Toyota, Tesla or Cepsa are participating in the congress, as well as organizations such as Espais Econòmics Empresarials (EEE), Instituto de Tecnologico de Energy (ITE), Castellon Airport, Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) or StartupValencia.

Among the activities scheduled at the congress, the celebration of the European Battery Forum 2023, organized by the European Association of Automotive Battery Manufacturers (Eurobat), which will take place for the first time in Valencia, stands out. The president Ximo Puig and the CEO of PowerCo, Thomas Dahlem, will participate in it.

“The Eurobat forum takes place just before Spain assumes the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in which the key policies and strategies in this sector will be discussed until 2024. At this juncture, Valencia is called to be one of the hubs world leaders in sustainable mobility with the aim of achieving climate neutrality by 2050″, Poyatos indicated.

Trips to the Moon and Hyperloop

in the program of eMobility Expo World Congress talks have been scheduled on “manufacturing batteries for electric vehicles (PowerCo), hyperloop (Zeleros), trips to the moon (Airbus), hydrogen cells (Iberdrola) or decarbonization of transport (Ricardo)”, the CEO pointed out. In short, there will be a debate on “what the new vehicles and new energy sources are going to be like”.

The Congress will be attended by companies and organizations from the urban mobility, automotive, naval, rail and air transport sectors, who will present the latest developments and technologies to promote intermodality and transport safety.

The event will feature different activities to promote networking and synergies between professionals in the sector, such as the eMobility Innovation Awards 2023, the awards that recognize leadership, innovation projects and solutions that will transform the mobility industry.
