Meta has announced that the new sandbox modewhich allows players to create their own virtual reality (VR) worlds, will be available on Population: One starting next Wednesday December 14 and whose pre-reservation is open since last October 11.

Sandbox mode is a style of video game that allows players to have great freedom of movement and progression, to be creative in completing tasks towards a specific goal within the game.

The company led by Mark Zuckerberg bought BigBox VR last yearthe developer studio of Population: Onea ‘battle royale’ in VR that will soon have a new update for Meta viewer, Quest 2.

This will allow users to “explore, build and play a wide variety of games with their friends in VR”, as the company has indicated from its Meta Quest Gaming account via Twitter.

In this way, the new version of the game, available from December 14, will allow the action to be carried out in any place devised by the player himself and will open a infinite possibility of scenarios and stories.

As suggested by BigBox, it can be played in different places, ranging from a moon base, a Viking village, and even from a point where there is zero gravity. “The game creator generated by the user is limited only by their imagination“added the developer.

In the same way, it is not necessary to be a creator of worldsbut those users who prefer it will be able to play and discover worlds through new community games, without having to create their own.
