Arturi Legkonen will miss the remainder of the regular season for the Colorado Avalanche with a broken finger.
«They are from 4 to 6 weeks. Maybe more. It’s a huge loss,” Avalanche coach Jared Bettner told Altitude Sports Radio on Tuesday. «Luckily it’s his finger. It is the upper part of his arm, he can continue training ».
Lehkonen was injured in the second half of Monday’s 8-4 win over the Montreal Canadiens. He had two goals and one assist in his first game at the Bell Center since being traded from the Canadiens to the Avalanche on March 21, 2022. Legkonen has career-highs in goals (20), assists (29) and points (49). 62 games this season.
Colorado plays its final game of the regular season on April 14.

Forward Alex Galchenyuk He was called up from Colorado of the American Hockey League on Tuesday. He has no points in four NHL games this season and 33 points in 33 AHL games (15 goals, 18 assists).
The Avalanche’s next game is at the Ottawa Senators on Thursday. Colorado (37-22-6) ranks third in the Central Division, four points behind second-place Minnesota Wild and seven behind first-place Dallas Stars.
