Israel’s Finance Minister and leader of the far-right Yisrael Beitenu, Avigdor Lieberman, has accused Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu of destroying “liberal Zionist Israel” with his right-wing coalition.

The leader of the far-right Yisrael Beitenu, who was an ally of Netanyahu at the beginning of his career and refused to be part of the coalition after the legislative elections on November 1, criticized the right-wing parties that have joined Likud on Monday. , as reported by the newspaper ‘The Times of Israel’.

“In recent weeks we have seen some disturbing phenomena, starting with an attempt to establish two states for one (Palestinian) people,” he said, adding that Netanyahu leads a “state of darkness” that seeks to “destroy Zionist Israel and liberal”.

These far-right criticisms of the coalition are added to those pronounced this Monday by the far-right Itamar Ben Gvir, who has accused Netanyahu of “stammering” or reversing the agreements signed with Otzma Yehudit.

“In recent days, I have heard ‘stammering’ about agreements that were already signed and agreed,” said Ben Gvir, who will take the post of national security minister in Israel’s new government.

The Likud agreement with Otzma Yehudit is part of the contacts that Netanyahu has carried out in recent weeks to form a government with the help of various far-right and ultra-Orthodox parties, including Religious Zionism, Shas and United Torah Judaism.
