    Hertz names Wayne Davis as new Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President

    Wayne Davis, Hertz’s new Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President -HERTZ

    MADRID, Dec. 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –

    Hertz has appointed Wayne Davis as director of Marketing and executive vice president of the company, positions that he will assume as of January 3, 2023, as reported by the company in a statement.

    Davis will be responsible for marketing strategy for Hertz, as well as for sister brands Dollar and Thrifty with the aim of “boosting” their reach, the company said.

    Hertz’s new Chief Marketing Officer will replace Laura Smith, who has led the department for the past two years and will continue as Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Customer Experience.

    Hertz has indicated that Davis has around 20 years of experience in marketing, sales and business development in multiple sectors and for the last four years has led the Mass Premium Cafe brand.

    “Wayne’s branding experience and data-driven marketing analytics expertise is a powerful combination. I am excited about the vision he will bring to Hertz as we transform our business through electrification, shared mobility and digital customer experience”, said Hertz’s CEO, Esteban Scherr.

    Meanwhile, Davis has highlighted the “limitless” potential of the company and has also highlighted his “excitement” to join the company.

    On the other hand, Ford has announced that the company’s global marketing director, Suzy Deering, has left the company with effect from December 9 and has indicated that she is working on choosing a replacement.

    Deering has held his position for the past two years and has overseen brand communication, e-commerce and digital strategy, among other aspects.

    “We thank Suzy for her contributions to Ford and wish her all the best in the future,” said Kumar Galhotra, president of Ford Blue, the US automaker’s combustion vehicle division.
