The video game producer Gran Turismo (GT), Kazunori Yamauchi, has confirmed that since Polyphony Digital are “investigating and considering” prepare the game for launch it to pc thus following in the wake of other great PlayStation video games that have also become playable on a computer.
This is what Yamauchi said after being asked if the Gran Turismo series could also take the leap and stop being exclusive to PlayStationin statements to GTPlanet, coinciding with his participation in the Finals Gran Turismo World Championships and the video game’s 25th anniversary event.
However, the creator of this GT series has indicated that the game is a “very well tuned” title and that, therefore, “there are not many platforms that can run it natively in 4K/60p”. In this sense, he has insisted that it is a “complicated” issue, but at the same time he has assured that they are trying to move it forward.
However, the product of the game has said that “they are investigating and considering” its jump to PC. And in case GT ends up being developed for PC, would join a few Sony franchises that have gone down the same path, What god of war from Santa Monica Studio; Beyond: Two Souls, from Quantic Dream; either Uncharted 4, by Naughty Dog. In this way, Sony continues to expand its Strategy of bringing some of the PlayStation titles to PC.
The popular driving video game developed by Polyphony Digital, whose latest installment, Gran Turismo 7, arrived in March for PS5, has also been released for Playstation 4, in which there is some differences in resolution and quality of textures and detailssuch as the lack of ray-tracing technology.
