Google has added a new way of disbursement in its digital wallet Google Walletwhich now allows you to make payments through QR codes on phones with the Android operating system in Brazil and will soon reach other countries.

Google Wallet is an application with which users can pay for products or services without the need for a physical credit card and also offers the option to save tickets, passes, keys and IDs.

To pay without contact -‘contactless’-, Once the data of the corresponding cards have been saved, you must choose one of them, activate the near field communication system (NFC, by its acronym in English) of the device, either ‘smartphone’ or smart watch; and bring it closer to the dataphone.

The company has recently announced that it has added a new format to pay with Google Wallet and that is that it allows payments to be made through QR codes, a functionality that has already reached users in Brazil and soon the rest of the owners of Android terminals will have it.

Gogole explained that this functionality “was designed and developed taking into account the needs of people in countries where Brazil, where a significant part of smartphones They don’t have NFC.”

With this, he has qualified that the new payment system via QR “will bring security and ease of Google Wallet digital payments to more people,” as can be read in a statement on his blog.

Once the QR code is displayed on the dataphone, the user must scan it with their phone, choose the card with which they wish to pay, give the corresponding permission to proceed with the payment prior authorization with the PIN number of the device or with the fingerprint.
