Google has begun to implement a new section in the user account designed so that you can request the withdrawal of the search engine of the personal information that appears in the results.
the tech company updated its policies in April to allow users to request the removal of their personal contact information, such as their phone number, email or postal address, from search results, as well as any other information that could lead to online identity theft.
The tool which, together with this change, has started to show up in the Google account of some users, facilitating access to the process, as collected in 9to5Google. It can be accessed from the Google ‘app’, in the menu that is displayed in the user’s image, located in the upper right corner.
under the name ‘results on you’this section opens a window that guides the user through the request process to eliminate the result, and that shows the status of said request once it has been made, as well as those that have been approved.
