In the iconic Plaza de los Heroes, in the historic center of the Hungarian capital, the authorities have organized a special area for sports fans, an ideal place to warm up for this Wednesday’s Seville-Rome duel.

Some 30,000 tickets are reserved for fans of Roma and Sevilla (plus 5,000 for officials, sponsors, journalists and VIPs). In addition, the match will be attended by a large number of Hungarian fans, about 25,000.

Mehmet, originally from Cyprus, confesses: “I have come to see the UEFA Europa League Cup final in Budapest, and I am very happy with the organisation, I hope we will see a nice match tomorrow, and I wish both teams good luck , Italian and Spanish”.

“I support Arsenal, but Arsenal is not in the Europa League final, a pity, but Roma is my second favorite team,” says another fan who has traveled from Ireland to live this experience.

A fan from Morocco explains to Euronews: “Coming here, supporting football, seeing a great final, of good quality here in Budapest for the first time. And of course my heart is of Moroccan origin, so I’m going with Sevilla, they have two players Moroccans: the goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou and the striker, Youssef En-Nesyri. They are two good players.”

At the moment, there is not much movement in the Puskas Arena in Budapest, but preparations are already underway for the Europa League final on Wednesday, for which tens of thousands of fans are expected. Soccer fans also drive tourism to the city.
