The Government of Colombia has expressed this Wednesday “its strongest condemnation” of the “unacceptable” bombardment perpetrated on Tuesday by Russian forces on civilians in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk and in which several citizens of Colombian nationality were affected.
The former Colombian High Commissioner for Peace Sergio Jaramillo, the writer Hector Abad Faciolince and the journalist Catalina Gomez Angel suffered minor injuries from this attack, which hit a restaurant and left at least a dozen dead, according to the latest balance of local authorities. .
The Colombian Foreign Minister, Alvaro Leyva, has expressed his “concern, solidarity and wishes for a speedy recovery”. “Solidarity with them, with the fatalities and their relatives, as well as with the other people who were affected, including the (Ukrainian) writer Victoria Amelina,” the Ministry said in a statement.
