Will these two special colors be used on vehicles made in the USA?

During the company’s recent shareholder meeting in Texas, Tesla unveiled two Model Y vehicles that will not be available to US customers in two colors: Quicksilver and Midnight Cherry Red.
Video embedded above, posted by Farsad Mesbahi On his YouTube channel, the two EVs parked toward the main entrance of the Texas Gigafactory look pretty cool compared to the paintless Cybertruck behind them.
Both colors are currently produced exclusively by the company’s German Gigafactory near Berlin, where Quicksilver and Midnight Cherry Red-painted Model Y units are assembled for Europe and the Middle East.
The reason for this uniqueness is that, as Elon Musk pointed out, the Zika Berlin paint shop is specially designed to apply paint in multiple microscopic layers, which would otherwise be impossible.
Introduced in October 2022, both colors are made from “highly-pigmented metallic paint that is designed to change based on viewing angle and light,” according to Tesla, and the colors are made possible by its even more advanced paint system.
However, given that these two particular Model Ys have made an appearance on American soil at the company’s Texas facility, we can’t help but wonder if Tesla is laying the groundwork for the launch of these two American-brand colorways. Customers are no less than their European counterparts.
As for Tesla, there’s no official word on it, but it could be possible given the many changes that have recently been made to the Fremont factory where the Model Y is built.
One of the updates to the California facility could be a new paint shop similar to the one installed at Giga Berlin, but we don’t know at the moment.
At the same time, Tesla may have shipped two Model Ys from Europe to show off to investors, since its entire line was at Giga Texas ahead of its annual shareholder meeting.
But what do you think will happen? Will Tesla bring Quicksilver and Midnight Cherry Red colors to the US? Let us know in the comments below.
