The President of the United States, Joe Biden, stated this Friday that the House of Representatives and the US Senate must take measures so that the Latino community and women have museums in their honor on the National Mall, the Washington esplanade that houses various monuments and the White House at its north end.

Biden has defended that it is time to carry it out to reflect the important role they have played in building the nation, during the Hispanic Heritage month reception.

“I am committed to changing our immigration system for the better, giving it a path for dreamers,” he said. In addition, he has referred to migrants with a temporary stay permit and has assured that more must be done to modernize the laws and that families do not have to wait decades to reunite.

Biden has also reviewed different measures taken at the federal and state levels in favor of the Hispanic community, such as reducing child poverty by 40 percent among Latinos or canceling debts to university students.

The US president has also shown solidarity with the victims of the consequences of several hurricanes. “We are doing everything possible for the search and rescue of those affected, the recovery and reconstruction of the areas. The country is committed to doing what is necessary as long as it is necessary,” he assured.
