Manzana works in functions of satellite communication for emergency situations on both your iPhone phones and your Apple Watch Pro smartwatch, a novelty that is expected to be unveiled on September 7.
Apple confirmed a few days ago that the presentation event for the new iPhone 14 family will be held on september 7 from its headquarters in Cupertino (United States). The image that accompanied the announcement shows a starry black background, and the motto ‘Far out’, an expression that translates far but also out of the ordinary.
Both the tagline and the image hint at what Apple has been up to, Bloomberg analyst and journalist Mark Gurman explains in his latest Power On newsletter. Here it points to the incorporation of the satellite communications.
Satellite communication would allow send text messages in emergency situations in those places where there is no coverage or internet connection with mobile dataand internally, the application that the company prepares is known as ‘Emergency Message via Satellite’.
This communication would also be incorporated on the new Apple Watch Pro watch. Gurman notes that “it might make sense for a future version” of this wearable.
However, although it is a communication technology that Apple is working on, Gurman does not rule out that the references to the distant and the dark starry background refer to novelties in night photography, with a possible astrophotography mode, present in other equipment such as the Google Pixel for a long time.
