The 17-year-old Diaa al-Rimawi died this Thursday at the hands of the Israeli security forces in the center of the West Bank, the fifth in the last 24 hours in the context of the raids and the subsequent clashes after the campaign launched by Israel against suspected terrorist targets.

According to the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Health, the young man died under fire from Israeli security forces in response to stone-throwing at cars in the central West Bank.

This is the fifth Palestinian citizen killed in the last 24 hours in raids by Israeli forces on the occasion of its new anti-terrorist offensive launched in recent months, details the newspaper ‘Times of Israel’.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported that several people have thrown stones and cans of paint at Israeli cars traveling on Route 465 near the village of Aboud, northwest of Ramallah. At that time, IDF soldiers “carrying out routine activities” fired shots.

“The objectives were hit,” reported the IDF, which justified the shooting because the suspects “endangered the lives of bystanders.” In addition to the dead young man, four other people were injured, one of them seriously.
