Anger in the streets before an immutable Macron

Social anger continues to inflame the streets of France after the approval of the controversial reform of the parliamentary vote without a vote and after the rejection of two motions of censure.

In Paris, a tense confrontation between demonstrators and the police, with an exchange of projectiles and tear gas, ended with fifty detainees.

Street protests are multiplying, various economic sectors are paralyzed and there is a risk of fuel shortages in the coming days.

Despite the deep social unrest, the president, Emmanuel Macron, remains undeterred. After receiving the heavyweights of his government and his parliamentary group at the Elysee, he leaked the message that nor will it change the Government, nor will it call elections, nor a referendum, as requested by the opposition. This Wednesday he will show his face in an interview, granted to the two main television networks in the country, in which he is expected to reveal his strategy to get out of this political crisis.

From the presidential side they persist in giving up a struggle that unions and opposition want to maintain, both institutionally and on the social front.

The opposition has filed appeals before the Constitutional Council and intends to force the government to call a referendum, for which it needs 4.5 million signatures.
