
One of the largest consulting firms in the world has just jumped on the bandwagon craze. artificial intelligence text generators and it is going to give access to more than 4,000 legal employees to a chatbot that is designed to streamline their work.
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has signed an agreement with Harveya startup specializing in AI, to carry out a 12-month initiative through which this technology will be used by its lawyers in areas such as auditing, contract analysis, “and broader legal advisory services and legal consultancy”, they have expressed through a press release.
The consultancy has ensured that artificial intelligence it will not be used to offer legal advice to its clientsneither to replace your current lawyers nor the professional legal services they offer.
“Harvey will help generate insights and recommendations based on big data, providing richer insights that will enable PwC practitioners to identify solutions faster“, has specified the company, which has stressed that the work carried out by the text generator will be supervised and reviewed by its own workers.
This AI startup specializes in building large custom language models —LLMs— for elite law firms, and “uses natural language processing, machine learning, and data analytics to automate and improve various aspects of legal work”.
Harvey is backed by the financing firm of Open AIthe developer of ChatGPT, and its own technology is based on research that has been conducted by OpenAI and ChatGPT, according to the statement issued by PwC.
The consultant, which is part of the Big Four next to Deloitte, KPMG and EYhas also announced that it plans to use Harvey’s technology to develop and train its own proprietary models to design products for internal use, as well as services designed for its clients of Legal Business Solutions.
